CRAFT & EARLY WORK

Where it all started

Brand identity and graphic design work from 2015–2016, before I moved fully into product design. These projects built my foundation in visual thinking, typography, and how to communicate brand through design.

WHAT THIS WORK TAUGHT ME

Skills that still show up in
every product I design

Typography systems

Building brand type hierarchies from scratch taught me how to create purposeful, readable type in complex SaaS interfaces, where hierarchy carries meaning, not just style.

Colour & visual language

Building brand palettes gave me a sharp eye for colour contrast, accessibility, and visual consistency at scale, skills that directly inform how I approach design tokens today.

Systems beat heroics every single time

Brand design is about communicating a feeling instantly. That same discipline, "what does this say in the first 2 seconds?", applies to every UI decision I make in product work.
